New Samsi
In April 2008 Samsi celebrated its 15th birthday. It is now well established and recognised as serving 'the best Japanese food in the North West by a county mile' to quote Manchester metro news. Since opening Samsi has been featured on channel 4's 'Richard and Judy' and Piccadilly radio recommended by almost every localnewspaper and also featured by national newspapers and magazines as diverse as the Sunday Times and The Sun. It has been nominated for numerous awards including Life magazine's best Newcomer.
Samsi aimed for the balance of authenticity and trying to convert the most reserved British taste buds. New Samsi caters well for sushi connoisseurs too, although it is only a fraction of our menu. Incredibly, due to the weakening of the Japanese Yen and the lower cost of authentic ingredients imported to Britain, the prices at Samsi have not increased over the 14 years it has been open, making the experience excellent value too.

New Samsi Reviews

"If you love Japanese cuisine then New Samsi is the ideal place to visit in Manchester city centre. With some unbeatable daytime offers, it's the perfect place for a healthy lunchtime meal. With the Palace Theatre and Cornehouse cinema just along the road and, this being one of the closest restaurants near the Apollo Theatre, the pre-show offers are well worth checking out. There's a great choice of Japanese banquets available in the evening and the Saki wine list is impressive. The amazing Japanese supermarket in the basement is worth a visit alone and, like us, most diners tend to leave with a carrier bag full of ingredients after their meal."
