Backstage Dining~ Order the Roadie Cookbook ~ 3rd Aug 2021Since COVID-19 hit the world, the global music touring industry came to a standstill, with many of its workers among the 3 million self-employed people exlcuded from any UK Government support.
Live music stopped over night and tour buses stood still. While every venue in the world closed, musicians, roadies, stage hands and production staff were forced into their unfamiliar surroundings of their home kitchens.
Now a group of Manchester music professionals, while out of work due to the pandemic, have joined forces to release a 128 page high quality cookbook crammed full of recipies discovered on their travels; from comfort food to hangover cures, back lounge dares to street food fails… fine dining, taco trucks… and everything in between.
The Roadie Cookbook is a beautiful publication that shares 50 recipes, anecdotes and advice, with 100% of profits being donated to the Music Support and Stagehand charities who both fund invaluable mental health, first aid training, and support injured production crew.
The book also marks a significant moment in history and helped Nick Gosling (production manager for Nile Rodgers, and The Travelling Band), Julie Cotton (production co-ordinator for Massive Attack), Athena Caramitsos (freelance production assistant), Rich House (backline tech for Elbow) and Kel Murray (of the Stagehand and Music Support charites) continue to enjoy meals together in the absence of crew catering.
By buying a copy you are sending 100% of profits to charities which help future-proof the wellbeing of the UK live music industry by making them better equipped to take care of each other while you watch your favourite artist perform once again.
